I'm Phil, a North Yorkshire wedding photographer with an unobtrusive documentary style of photography. Based near the market town of Stokesley, I work with fun loving couples who prefer partying over posing. I focus on authentic storytelling captured through natural and candid images.

I adopt a quiet unassuming approach which allows me to capture weddings in a unique and timeless style, constantly seeking out spontaneous and genuine moments that ooze personality yet aren’t contrived or posed. I mostly work in the North of England including Leeds, Harrogate, York & Newcastle regions.

It’s no secret that your wedding day will fly by (just ask your married friends!). For that reason it’s important that you spend it wisely, with the people closest to you. As a documentary wedding photographer with years of experience taking photographs at weddings, I’ve learned to do this in a way that doesn’t interrupt the flow of your special day.
No one wants to be told to line up and say cheese, so I won’t either. Using available light, I’ll seek out and capture moments you yourselves will inevitably miss on the day. It’s not just about the ring, the dress, the first kiss or the flowers. It’s those extraordinary and spontaneous moments in between that will truly form the back bone of your wedding story. Full of personality, love, emotion and often humour, your photos will transport you, your family and your future generations straight back to that magical day.
